Wild Toledo is a Toledo Zoo-based conservation initiative that focuses on local wildlife. Among our many programs, we are promoting native habitat by installing prairies on zoo grounds and throughout the community.
Toledo ZOOTeens support the native prairie program by helping to install plugs into new prairie sites; maintain the prairies, remove invasive species so that the native plants can thrive; collect native seeds in the fall, so that the process can continue and grow; and repot native plants in our greenhouse area for future installation. Toledo ZOOTeens are pleased to be a vibrant part of such an exceptional conservation initiative.
