Brigette Burnett has an original way of captivating audiences through her emotionally driven reports. She is anaward winning journalist with a true passion for helping people. An investigativestory in 2016 forced Toledo police to rescind charges on a man wrongly imprisoned. Those same stories are the reason Burnett is an Ohio Associated Press Media Editors awardwinner for continuing coverage.

Currently, BurnettHosts the Daily Downtown. Her work can be seen on the Parkvisionscreen at ProMedica’s headquarters and on social media. Her career in television has taken Burnettto NewsChannel7 in Wisconsin, NBC25 in Michigan, WAND-TV in Illinois and 13abc in Ohio.

Burnettserves on the board of Standing Courageous, Inc. The men and women of Standing Courageous work to end the epidemic of domestic and interpersonal violence through education and awareness. Burnett has appeared in the Toledo Blade, Michigan Chronicle, ChicagoTalks, Kohl’s YES2YOU campaign and the Mercy Mosaic.





Exposure is one of BCAN’s original and locally produced programs that takes an in-depth look at film in the 419.  For 30 minutes, local film director and host Steve Rodojev sits down and talks with other producers and directors about their inspirations, tactics, and overall advice when it comes to making producing movies locally and regionally.  Exposure is is quickly becoming a staple in the local filmmaking scene as it has been a contributing sponsor for local film festivals.




A Native Toledoian born and raised around the Arts has Influenced Allie Ray’s passion in life which is to help the Toledo Arts Community thrive and grow with each year. Being an Alumni of Toledo School for the Arts, Allie knows the Toledo Arts scene like the back of her hand. Being a Multi Media Journalist for BCAN, gives her the chance to personally know artists, and gives her the opportunity to tell their unique stories.  This platform gives Allie the chance to educate viewers of what art is, meaning art can go farther than the canvas, and the stage. This inspires her every day to help others understand the meaning of Art.




As a life long Toledoan and professional musician Eric Oblander is uniquely qualified to host and produce the Toledo-based music show Rise Up on BCAN. For over two decades Eric has toured throughout North America and Europe with bands such as Five Horse Johnson and Clutch as a singer and harmonica player, all while calling Toledo his home. During that same time Eric achieved his Bachelors degree in Visual Communications from BGSU and discovered that his passion for Video Production rivaled his passion for music.

Now, as a dedicated family man, a working musician, and Emmy nominated producer/editor with The Buckeye Community Arts Network, Eric continues his role on Rise Up, as well as taking on a new challenges in developing, producing and creating new shows for the network such as 419 By Design and Live From 201 Morris.




Tim McMahon’s enthusiasm for adventure and exploration is only matched by his hunger for new and diverse foods.

Born and raised in Northwest Ohio, Tim resides with his family in Perrysburg, where he is often found jogging the streets of the historic Downtown area and hitting up local eateries.

A worker bee by nature and foodie by trade, Tim puts his heart and soul (and belly) into hosting and producing Four One Nosh – a show for which he earned an Emmy nomination from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences –Lower Great Lakes Chapter.


Rise Up LIVE! A Salute to American Made Music

Just in time for the 4thof July season, the Buckeye Community Arts Network (BCAN) and Fleetwood’s Taproom are teaming up to present a Live Television Concert Event on Thursday, June 27that 7pm. “Rise Up LIVE! A Salute to American Made Music” will spotlight some of the finest local Blues, Rock, and Americana musicians while celebrating America’s unique contribution to the music world. This one night only Live Concert event will be free and all ages welcome. “Rise Up LIVE! A Salute to American Made Music”will be broadcast LIVE on BCAN exclusively on Buckeye BroadbandChannel 109/609HD.
