False Spiraea or Sorbaria sorbifolia
False Spiraea is a suckering deciduous shrub that typically grows five – eight feet tall and wide and likes full to partial sun. White flower plumes cover the shrub in the summer and attract several types of pollinators. The foliage is deep green with an interesting texture and will provide good fall color. You can find this shrub in the Aquarium Adventure Trail, Tembo Trail and Flamingo Key.
