Get up close to a real fire truck, police car and ambulance, plus a mini-version of an F-16 fighter jet, and take part in some cool crafts and activities. Sign our giant thank-you cards that will be presented at 1:30 p.m. to honor some very special heroes.
It has often been said that America is the land of the free, because of the brave. At the Toledo Zoo, we whole-heartedly agree. Sunday, September 10 we will honor all of the first responders that help keep us safe with Day of Honor supported by Marathon Petroleum Company and HCR ManorCare. All military members, police, firefighters and EMTs receive free admission to the Zoo by showing their professional ID or badge.
To show your gratitude for the bravery of first responders, please sign our giant thank you cards in the Main Plaza. These cards will be presented to local safety organizations at 1:30 p.m.
